Hat Luncheon Chairs, Catherine Smale Caldemeyer and Dianne Rosenberg, launch the Twig Project.-2

“We’re bringing it – Together!” These words of excitement and commitment filled a beautiful tent in Ault Park at the 2010 Hats Off Luncheon. More than 500 ladies, and several gentlemen, sipped mimosas and enjoyed a decadent lunch to support the Women’s Committee of Cincinnati Riverfront Park.

Hat Luncheon Chairs, Catherine Smale Caldemeyer and Dianne Rosenberg launched a grassroots community initiative, the Twig Project - a movement to create a network of fun projects and activities that promote awareness, advocacy and fund development for Cincinnati Riverfront Park. Twigs are forming all around the region, from Price Hill to Clermont County and Newport to Mason. Click here or call (513) 357-2621 to start your own Twig!

Willie F. Carden, Jr., Director of Parks, thrills the crowd with news of the progress to Cincinnati Riverfront Park.-2

Willie F. Carden, Jr., Director of Parks, gave luncheon guests a rousing presentation on the progress of Cincinnati Riverfront Park. The new 45-acre park will bring increased property values, a rise in tourism – and tourism dollars, improved health and wellness, positive environmental impact and enhanced safety to our region. Phase 1 of the park will be open next spring. Be among the first to enjoy the new visitor/bike center, Moerlein Lager House, tree grove, bike trail, Women’s Garden, Black Brigade Monument, labyrinth and more!

The luncheon closed with a new feature to the Hats Off Luncheon – the “Girl, I love that hat!” awards. Everyone delighted in watching several guests win awards for the Lady Gaga Hat, the Sunday in the Park Hat and more. Next year, throw on your best hat and join us for the 2011 Hats Off Luncheon in the brand new Cincinnati Riverfront Park!
